Description
We consider interaction between strong uniform electric field and electron-positron plasma. Depending on initial pair distirbution in momentum space pairs are either created or annihilated in external field. Accounding for back reaction of pairs on the electric field leads in the former case to damped plasma oscillations, while in the latter case to energy transfer from rest mass into internal energy of pairs.
